*The rates are in line with the rates determined by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit). Indirect time (e.g. writing reports and preparation) is included.

Health insurance coverage

Therapy Basis GGZ

Life Optimal has consciously chosen not to have contracts with health insurance companies but basic mental health therapy is mostly reimbursed. This means that we can’t invoice your insurance company directly. Therefore, you will initially need to pay for the treatment yourself and provide our monthly invoice to your insurance, who will reimburse you according to your insurance package. We work according to the NZA rules (Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit). For more information see www.contractvrijepsycholoog.nl

It's highly recommended to contact your insurance company to inform yourself about reimbursement options to prevent any unexpected costs. You can ask for coverage of contract free basis GGZ (Life Optimal).

The treatment codes are:
Intake consult (diagnostic) 60 minutes (CO0562): €200
Treatment session rates 60 min (CO0627): €175,-

Uninsured care

Paying yourself, either because you don't have a disorder or because you prefer not to be diagnosed, is also possible. In that case, a lower rate applies (€125 instead of €175 for a 50-minute session) because this requires less administrative time.

Coaching

Unlike therapy coaching is not covered by insurance and not VAT exempt. Life Optimal is therefor obliged to charge 21% VAT. As a business owner or freelance person (ZZP) you can deduct business coaching for tax purposes. Please be informed by your accountant or tax consultant.

Children and adolescents

Life Optimal has no contract with the municipality of Amsterdam to cover the costs of the treatment. This means that children and adolescents don’t need a referral letter from their general practitioner and parents need to pay the treatment themselves. The rates are comparable to the uninsured care rates.

neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is not covered by insurance. When you do the neurofeedback training sessions as part of personal development, in prevention of absenteeism or as part of a reintegration trajectory, maybe your employer is prepared to cover the costs. As a business owner or freelance person (ZZP) you can deduct neurofeedback training for tax purposes.

Cancellation policy

A session can be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to 24 working hours before the scheduled time. If a session is not properly cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance, a no-show rate of € 70,- will be charged. This no-show invoice is not covered by insurance. The no-show rate for a neurofeedback session is € 45,-.
